Real insight into projects

PHC originated from practice. Not just focusing on financial data, but rather having a dialogue with each other, so that timely solutions arise and problems are prevented.

Success factors

PHC creates insight.
People make the difference.

It is not the system that determines the result, but how you act together.
Project Health Check acts as a flywheel for sustainable, positive change.

Learning to appreciate problems

Risks are shared, not hidden.
Errors can be named. Transparency is the basis for improvement.

Transparency and looking ahead

Teams work openly and reflect honestly. Not to judge, but to move forward in a targeted manner.

Listening and developing together

Leaders listen, are genuinely curious and look ahead. Dialogue is key: helping instead of blaming.

Built by project professionals

Convinced that simplicity and openness are the key to successful projects, Pepijn and Sjacco developed Project Health Check. Their approach has been further deepened through practical experiences and substantive contributions from peers.

With experience at the executive, tactical and strategic levels, Sjacco understands better than anyone what teams need to manage better.

Development

From internal tool to widely deployable platform

What started as an internal approach grew into a scalable solution for many organizations.

2004

The first version was created as a policy process with Excel within an international ICT company with over 10,000 projects.

2015

The approach was translated into a first business application at an internationally operating Dutch engineering firm with a portfolio of more than 10,000 projects.

2022

In a complex environment with innovative projects, the approach was further developed and translated into a business application for more than 5,000 projects.

2025

The step from an internal business application to an independent, scalable solution: Project Health Check was developed as a multi-account platform, suitable for small SMEs to large corporates.

Future

Development does not stop. We will continue to enrich PHC with new functionalities and insights, so that organizations will continue to benefit from an increasingly powerful platform.

Current developments

From lessons learned to predictable projects

PHC uses AI applications to turn experiences from previous projects into predictive insights. This helps teams to recognize risks earlier and to make more targeted adjustments.

FAQs

1. What does the PHC implementation process look like?

We work with a structured onboarding process that can be directly applied to your organization. This includes a clear kick-off, a short training and guidance with the first fill-in moments. In this way, we ensure that PHC is not only introduced, but also used effectively immediately.

2. Can I get support with implementation and change management?

Yes. In addition to the software, we offer customized guidance and advice. We support in embedding PHC into existing processes, strengthening ownership and supervising the behavioral change that is necessary to achieve sustainable results.

3. Why does a fixed monthly rhythm work better than occasional evaluations?

Incidental evaluations are often reactive and retrospective. A fixed rhythm ensures continuity and predictability, so that signals are recognized earlier and adjustments become part of the regular process.

4. What if our organizational culture isn't fully in line yet?

On the contrary, PHC helps to strengthen openness, ownership and constructive dialogue. The fixed rhythm and the structured approach create space to discuss problems and look ahead together.

5. How does PHC ensure that conversations remain constructive?

The method focuses on signals and trends rather than blame or assessment. That makes the conversation factual, forward-looking and focused on improvement.
